Shot Of The Day

Today was a good day. I got to go to the Federal Court House and watch my good friend, Hakan Hare, and 71 other happy people take the oath and become brand new citizens of the United States of America. Years of waiting, piles of paperwork, lots of studying. A real commitment. I wonder how many born and raised US citizens could pass the citizenship test. I wonder how many would be willing to put in the hard work that these 72 did.

  1. I love the composition on this, especially with the brief glimpses of the mezzanine galleries in the background. All that grandeur, including the flag, points down at him, and then it's all reflected in that polished granite floor. Great capture.
